Melanie Lang is the Co-Founder and CEO of FormAlloy, where she transforms ambitious engineering concepts into real-world manufacturing marvels. An aerospace engineer turned entrepreneur, she dives into metal additive manufacturing and the cutting-edge technologies reshaping production. Before FormAlloy, Melanie engineered aircraft at Boeing and spent 14 years igniting innovation at Lockheed Martin. Now, she collaborates with manufacturers and engineers to redefine metal 3D printing. A champion for women in tech, she founded the San Diego chapter of Women in 3D Printing and served on the America Makes Executive Committee. In 2023, she snagged the Society of Women Engineers’ Entrepreneur of the Year award. Melanie sits on the board of the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and advises the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) on advanced manufacturing.
