FormAlloy Technologies has officially opened its new Application Development Center in San Diego, marking a major step forward in its mission to advance metal additive manufacturing. The new facility is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and hands-on development, providing customers and partners with access to cutting-edge DED technology and expert guidance.
The grand opening took place in July and featured a keynote address from Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, who praised the center’s potential to support innovation and drive economic growth in the region. The event also included live demonstrations of FormAlloy’s Directed Energy Deposition systems and a Certificate of Congressional Recognition presented to the team.
“This center reflects our commitment to helping our customers bring transformative ideas to life,” said Melanie Lang, CEO and Co-Founder of FormAlloy. “It’s a collaborative space for developing the next generation of additive manufacturing solutions.”
Visitors explored the facility’s capabilities through guided tours and interactive sessions that highlighted its value to sectors such as aerospace, energy, automotive, and defense. With this expansion, FormAlloy strengthens its position as a trusted partner in driving advanced manufacturing forward.
